Training / Certification Framework- Armed Security Services
IAMSP is pleased to announce another milestone in our efforts to raise the level of professionalism within the maritime security industry. The Guidance on the Establishment of a Corporate Training Continuum for Ship Security Services provides clear and concise guidance to companies that intend to (or are) delivering armed security services on board vessels. With contributions ranging from the Executive drafting committee and with consultation held with experts in the field of training and development and industry, this guidance provides a clear foundation upon which companies can build the appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience within their operator community.
The guidance can be found on our Standards page. The standard will also factor heavily in our vetting of training and will be integrated into aspects of our corporate vetting and upkeep program as well as being registered into our Quality Management system.
